Wow. Surprised me how good and accurate the reviews were. As a Southern Californian raised on Mexican food, I know good when I taste it. I had the Carnitas and they brought the good salsa out (red and green) with the entree. Piping hot tortillas and cold Negro Modelo cerveza. It doesn't get any better. Chips were okay but nothing remarkable. Service was great. Had my beer within a matter of a couple of minutes. Staff and owner double teaming making sure everything was satisfactory. My first time here and I'll be back.

Our favorite place to eat. The staff is friendly and know us when we walk in. The food is the best and most authentic Mexican food you're going to find in the area. The drinks are good, cheap and large. I've never had a bad meal or bad service here. They always take care of you. It doesn't matter who's waiting on you, all of them will stop by and check to see if you need anything. I seriously can't say enough about this place. We absolutely love it.

Our party really enjoyed our meals. We had a pitcher of strawberry margarita for $20, it was ok not enough liquor but it did cool us off. We had fajitas and chicken tacos and they were both tasty! They gave is chips with 3 types of salsa that was a treat. We we finished a basket they gave us a complementary refill. Inside was eh, ok not all that great. Overall I recommend this mexican restaurant.

Food was authentic, prices low, atmosphere upscale (not a taqueria), friendly staff with personalized service. The portions were healthy, not too big or too small. Red sauce on the enchilada I had was flavorful and unique, not just the standard taste that is so plain at other restaurants. Salsa was very good too. I had two complaints: the chips, although fresh, was oily tasting and could have been dabbed for excess heaviness & the guacamole appetizer we purchased has a store bought taste and didn't taste authentic, nor was the consistency chunky as I prefer. We will be back.

Good food. My son loved his meal. I ordered a vegetarian dish which was very good. My daughter ordered the red enchiladas which she enjoyed. Not sure I would say this was the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it was good. Service was only fair for us. They seemed to forget about us. We waited to get drinks for quite a while. Then waited for a long time to get more drinks and then to get the check.

Stopped again at my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Great service and another great meal. Everything was fresh and tasty and at $2 a beer I was happy. We stop here every year when on vacation and have yet to have a bad meal. And the prices are great.. Stop in and give it a try If you looking to great food at a great price.

We love this little restaurant tucked into the end of a shopping plaza. It's got great atmosphere, wonderful service and very good food. The combo specials are great esp the enchiladas. There creme chipotle sauce is also good. We've had three dinners there and all were wonderful. I recommend you try it.

Love LaHa!!!!! I order the same thing every time and it's always amazing: ACP (arroz con pollo) and a margarona. If you have never had a margarona (margarita with a corona in it), you must order one here. They are delicious and pair perfectly with the great food.

If you don't know it is there, you will not find it. I had carry out. Very prompt service. Enchiladas Supreme was a good choice. One each beef, chicken, cheese, and bean enchiladas with rice and refried beans. All were very good. Will definitely return.

Just got done eating at the best Mexican Restaurant in Myrtle Beach. La Hacienda always has exceptional service from the staff, to the owner who always acknowledges me and makes sure everything is to my liking when I go there. The food is worth more then they charge and is always as fresh as can be. From the quesadillas, fajita taco salad and chimichangas that I have eaten I have not found any who make them better. Wish I could say I have tried other dishes but I have eaten there 100 plus times over the years and have never went out of that box. Exceptional dishes, so I don't try others. If u want the best Mexican food on the Beach come to La Hacienda off Dick Pond Rd and enjoy authentic food at a low price and enjoy the left overs the next day.

I love this place! My husband and I started eating here about three years ago when they had coupons on the half-priced outlet & continue to come here pretty regularly. It is completely unassuming from the exterior, sort of the run-of-the-mill Myrtle Beach strip mall, but when you walk in you are completely shocked! The granite tables, fountain in the middle & painted walls really give you the illusion of eating in a hacienda courtyard! I recommend the potato burrito & spinach enchilada, but my husband likes the fajitas. I have to say this, they have a BANGING vegetarian menu!!

Service was quick and food was very good! The salsa had a strong garlic flavor but otherwise everything was great. Would recommend stopping here if you are on vacation or from the area.

Excellent food. Margaritas are very good. The atmosphere here is nice. Every table is granite. The walls and ceiling are hand painted with murals and a night sky. This family run restaurant is a great option for people near the waterway.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
